Addicted to CAS, code word GREEN

Hello!

I hope you all have a nice Saturday and can find some craft time and to join us over at Addicted to CAS! Our challenge word this time is green, and I love it! Green is one of my favorite colors.

Our Hostess for this challenge is the lovely and creative Vicky, and our guest designer is Birgit Edblom, an extremely talented card maker and a fellow countrywoman of mine. 🙂 Don’t forget to visit her blog and be amazed!

There is a really good price in it for the winner as well, our sponsor is Scribbled designs and the winner gets THREE images!

Over to my card, I use distress ink and a stencil to make the background, then I colored the balloon with distress ink as well. When I was starting out with paper crafting I didn’t have so many craft supplies as I do now, and I used to color everything with distress ink and a sponge. I think you can get a really good result with a limited stash of craft supplies. …But why risk it, right? :- ) I used a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp as my balloon string. I have had my eye on this stamp set for a while but it has always been out of stock when I bought thing from Simon Says Stamp, but now I finally have this set in my stash! I resist my urge to use my Wink Of Stella on the balloons, I love that pen and tend to use it on everything…… I forgot to take a photo of the inside of the card, but I stamped Happy Birthday with the handwritten borders stamp ( same as the Hello on the outside ) to tie everything together.

Thanks for stopping by and we would love if you came over and played with us over at Addicted to CAS!!

Baby card with watercolor

Hi!

I just bought some Peerless watercolors and I LOVE them! You can get really vibrant colors but today a went for a muted palette, and I only used two colors. My inspiration was pixel art, so that was what I wanted to replicate for my background. I cut the word die two times and adhered them slightly offset, and then adhered the wood stars.

I asked my husband if he liked this card, he is a honest critic and said he didn’t like it at all. He thought that the card would look better if the squares was exactly the same size, I tried to explain how watercolor works and that I wanted a loose effect but he still didn’t like it. I kind of like it so I thought I should share it with you anyway. What do you guys think? Would this card look better if the squares where exactly the same size?

As always, thanks for stopping by, see you soon and take care!
