You’re so cool

Hi!

Today I made a card and let me tell you, I struggled to get this one together…lol… The outcome is NOTHING like the original idea I had in my head when I started… Does that ever happen when you craft? 🙂

If you didn’t know, I live in the cold dark north and it’s snowing today, so this card is actually inspired by the weather. ( To be honest there is no penguins where I live even though it’s very cold…lol… )

I thought it might look fun if the penguins looked like they’ve changed places in each photo. I stamped with first and second generation to create the background. I colored the adorable penguins from Lawn Fawn with copics and coated them with some Wink of Stella. The igloo in the background is also stamped with second generation to give it a soft look and it’s shaded with copics. Honestly, this card is a little bit too busy for my taste, but I still think the penguins are the cutest ever.

Thank you SO MUCH for stopping by and I hope that you will have an amazing week!

( What looks like white spots in the photo is actually Wink of Stella glitter )

Adorable…I like to see cards with penguins… I can’t tell you how many times I started a card with one idea…and in the end my card looked nothing like I had planned…sometimes that was good…sometimes NOT! LOL.

My cards rarely turn out how originally imagined them! Sometimes they are better but other times I just give up. Your card is adorable – I can’t imagine it being any better!

Oh Joanna this is so so so cute. I love your coloring. Those penguins are so cute in the film strip. And yes, I so get what you are saying. Sometimes the card takes on a life of its own.

Those frisky little selfie-loving penguins had their own ideas of how they wanted to look on your card, Joanna, including being all sparkled up by WOS!! And, oh, yes, having the card dictate the end result is a very common phenomenon in the card-making world! It feels sometimes like when you drive to a location and you were so intent on something going on inside your head that you have no idea how you got to your destination! Wait? That doesn’t happen to everyone? lol. (I sure hope it does!) Anyway, sometimes it’s like that when I’m making a card. In any event, however this card evolved, the final result is outstanding! Adorable! Whimsical! A pure delight!! Thank you for linking again to my NBUS Challenge #3!! I hope to see you again soon! Hugs, Darnell
